rý w/ 47 ý i "O -: o: (From Our Correslpondent.) COBDEN JUNIOR FOOTBALL. A committee meeting was held on Tuesday night, Mr Pilkington (President) in the chair. The balance sheet showed the club's credit to be '£18. It was decided that owing to the cost of a special train- g14-the trip to Curdies be abandoned. The club will hold ;a ball in Cobden in aid of the Memorial Hall A sports meeting is also contemplated to wind up the sea. FOOTBALL.A A match will take place to day between Curdies and Alvie. Special trains have been engaged and the Cobden Recreation Reserve should be well patronised by lovers of the winter game.A. A. Rayson, Cobden's fine player, is taking part in the grand final on the M.C.C. Ground to-day, playing with Geelong against the minor premiers, Richmond. On play Geelong should be premiers. Rayson has showed fine form and has been mentioned in every match as one of the best players. DANCE. A dance in aid of St. Brendan's Church as held on Tuesday night. The weather spoilt a large attendance being present, but a very enjoyabile evening 'was-spent. Good music, nice supper and a good floor kept patrons in an enjoyable mood till the early hours.
