EXTENSIONS OF LEAVE MANY IMPORTANT OF-

FICERS CONCERNED.

His Excellency the Governor in Council on Thursday approved of the terms of ser-vice of the undermentioned persons retiring under the provisions of the Public Offic- ers Retirement Act, 1903, being extended until June 30, 1915. It will be seen that

the list includes several prominent offi-' cials, notably the Railways Commissioner (Mr. A. B Moncrieff, C.M.G.), the Under-secretary (Mr. L. H. Sholl. I.S.O.) the General Traffic Manager (Mr. J. B. Mc-Neil), the Secretary of the Police Depart-ment (Mr. G. L. Reed), Messrs W. Boath (Chief Inspector of the Central Board of Health). E. S. Berry (Chief Draughtstman of the Land Titles Department), B. Solo- mon (Land Tax Assessor), and E. P.
