OBITUARY. ---X-- A pioneer of the Drik Drik dis- trict, Mrs. Emma Mullens, relict of the late Mr. Wm. Mullens, died re- cently, in her ninetieth year. As a child of seven years she came this country with her parents, Mr and Mrs. Holmes, and other members of the family in 1852, landing at Portland in the same year. Mrs Mullens went to Drik Drik as a bride and was the first white woman to settle there. During the war years Mrs. Mullens spent most of her time knitting comforts for soldiers, and since the war did a lot of knitting for the Methodist Babies' Home in South Yarra. A son and daughter and her husband predeceased her. Surviving members of the family Mrs. Spencer (Dartmoor), Mrs. Wilson (Portland), Mrs. Spoin (Ormond), Thomas (Drik Drik), Mrs P. Malseed (Mt.
