Christmas Greetings by Telegraph. The acting" deputy, director of Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. F. W. Arnold) announces that the Postal Department has again made available for the forthcoming Christmas and New Year season the popular greeting telegram service. The facility will be available to the public from 14th December, 19360 to lith Janu. ary, 1937, during which period tolegrams of greeting will be delivered on attractively designed and colored forms and in envelopes to match, Mr. Arnold said that to ensure delivery- on the special form, senders should insert the word "Greeting" Just preceding the address on an ordinary transmitted telegram form, which may be lodged at any post oilice. The word is not charged for. Telephone subscribers may lodge thi: greeting telegrams by asking for "Telegrams." When the attendant answers, it should be intimated that it is desired to send a greeting telegram. The charges for a telegram lodged in this manner will be debited to the subscriber's tellphon'e account Christmas greeting telegrams may be lodged at any time and held for delivery on a specified (lay if desired. Full particulars of this service may be obtallined at all any post office.
