Wedding. A wedding was recently celebrated at St. Stephen's Church of England, Port-land, by Rev. F. W. Stillwell, the con-tracting parties being Miss Maud McLean, of McKinley-street, Casterton., to Mr. James S. Anderson, of 28 Ardrie East Malvern. The church was taste-fully decorated for the ceremony by Mrs. Stillwell. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. N. D. McLean, wore a handsome draped gown of ivory charmeuse and georgette band worked with silver, the draperies being finished with tassels and silver bows, giving an Oriental effect. The long waisted bodice had a sheath effect, while the court train of satin-trimmed with silver thread and orange blossom, was beauti-fully lined with shirred georgette in a shell pink shade. The veil of em-broidered tulle was worn cap fashion, with a chaplet of silver leaves, and long trails of orange blossom suspended over the left shoulder. The bride carried a sheaf of gladiolas with beautiful orchid in centre, and maidenhair tern, tied with fawn ribbon, supplied by Ronald's, Mel-bourne. Miss Ethel McLean, twin sister of the bride, was first bridesmaid, and Miss Nellie Anderson was second bridesmaid. Mr. Roy Anderson, brother of bride-groom, acted as best man, and Mr. Russell McLean, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Mrs. H. A. McLean, mother of bride, wore a black crepe de chine frock, handsomely trimmed with jet and touches of ivory satin, and she carried a posy of violets and mauve pansies and fern, tied with mauve ribbon. The bridegroom's presents to the bridesmaids were ivory dressing sets, the bride's present to the bridegroom being a solid leather travelling case. After the wedding breaskfast at "Claremont," the home of the bride's sister, Miss Carrie McLean, the happy couple left by motor for Port Fairy and Warrnambool, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride's travelling suit was a navy tailored costume, black velvet Napoleon hat with white feather, and a handsome mole-colored fur coat, the present of the bridegroom.
