CHRISTMAS TREATS, Commissioner Hay. o2 the Salvation Army, writes as follows:" The'preliminary arrangements are now being made in connection with the Salvation Army Christmas treats, and, if we may have a share-of the charitable 'disbursement of your readers, the fund will be materially helped. , The treats will be given to the inmates of all our institutions, including hbose, girls, aged men. aged women, etc., and, in addition to this, Christmas ,parcels will be given to poor. families. The parcels will include meat, bread, and material for a Christmas pudding. If you would be good enough to receive subacrip. tions on our behalf, and notify that same may also be sent to our headquarters, 69 Bourke-street, Melbourne, It will be appreciated."
