SOTIClE is hereby given that at a meet. 1. ing of tihe Council of the Shlir of Portland, hold in the Shiro ai-uil, Iley wood, on Thursday the 8th day of February,1912, the said Council did agree to the following resolution : A By-law of the Shire of Portland under Section 197 and 498 of the Local Govern ment Act, 1903, and numbered 9, for regu lating the conditions under which cattle may be driven on to any Street or Road for the purpose of--grazing thereon, with the Council's consent. That the number of stock allowed each bona fide owner shall be three head of horned cattle and two head of horses, Tliit a fce shall be payable quarterly in advance by the owner for the registration of stock according to the following scale, to wit, for the registration of each head of horned cattle a fee of two shillings per quarter, and for each horse a fee of three shillings per quarter. This By-law will be confirmed at a meet ing of the Council to be held in the Shire Hall, Heoywood, at 11 a.m,, on 'Thursday, the 14th March, 1912.
