METROPOLITAN ELECTORATES. (BY WIRE) (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The results so far show that the Ministeriahsts have gained 45 seats, the Oppositionists 48, while two are doubtful. The new members so far are 23, and 13 of the old members have been rejected. The following forfeit their deposit:-Tragardh, O'Brien, O'Loghlen, Dow, Biddington, Lewis, Healey and Ryan. Those declared in favor of the conv:ntion number 52, as against 42 down. -wards. Those who have not expressed in favor 'of a reduction of members of the Legis. lative Assembly number 55. The new members elected are Best, lHennessy, Reay, Ward, Billson, Barbour, Findlay, Brendergast, Mackinnon, Ramsay, McLeod. Robinson, Keast, McInnerney, Andrew, Nicholls, Stanley, Argyle. Cameron, Duffus, Oman, Lazarus and Mc.rthur. The old members rejected are bIoule, Cook, Watt, Gray, Styles, Thomson, Keys, Graves, Higgins, Rawson,O'Loghlen, Austri and Hamilton, The Premier will adopt the usual *course, and meet Parliament. He has no intention of resigning, and if the Opposition challenge him he will fight the ;position The Opposition claims to have a majority of seven, but the Ministers assert that the parties are so even thrt they will meet Parliament and fight any opposition, Sir George Turner has called a meeting of his party for Wednesday, The moderates are alleged to be feart',l of Sir George Turner, and a coalition with the extreme labor party.
