Sydney Boy's Film Contract

SYDNEY, April 3.— A 12-year-old Sydney school boy has won a three year film contract, to start at £1000 a year. The boy is Kit Taylor, of Sydney, son of Australian stage and film star, Grant Taylor. Father and son have both

been given parts in the 1,000,000 dollar American film, "Long John Silver," to be produced in Sydney as a sequel to "Treasure Island." He beat 200 Australian boy applicants for the starring role of Jim Hawkins. His three year contract with Treasure Island Pic-tures Inc. is for £lOOO in the first year, rising to £2000 in the third. His father will play Patch, the henchman of pirate Long John Silver, to be played by English actor Robert New-ton.
