SYDNEY, May 10— Only four Queenslanders are In the Australian Rugby Union team, which was announced to-day, for the South African tour next month. The four are: Full-back Tom Sweeney, wingers Garth Jones, Gavan Horsley and prop Col. Forbes. Of the team of 30 tourists, 26 are from Sydney. Halfback Cyril Burke Is from Newcastle. Queensland had 11 out or 29 In the 1933 team to South Africa, and seven out of 30 in the 1947 Wallabies to Britain and France. The team Is: Full-backs: Ray Colbert, Tom Sweeney (Qfand); wingers: Ed. Stapleton, Garth Jones -Q'land-, John Pliipps, Gavan Horeley (Q'land); centres: Herb. Barker, John Blomley, John Solomon, Saxon White; fly-halves:* Spanner Brown, Murray Tate; half-backs: Cyril Burke (Newcastle), John Bosley; locks: Brian Johnson, Mac. Hughes; breakaways: Keith Cross, Bob Outterside. Col. Windon, Dave Brockhoff; Nick Snahadle, Ned Morey, Alan Cameron, Tony Miller; Col. Forbes (Q'land), Bob Davidson, Jack Carroll, Max Elliott; hookers: Jim Walah, John Bain. Solomon will be Captain, and Shahadle Vlce-captaln.
