SCOMMERCIAL. GIPPSLA?IT STOCK REPORTS. Saturday, July 13. Mesers English, Peck, '& Co. report :Fat Cattle.-Slight alteration for the better in prices, and a lihttle more disposition among buyers to operate. We sold on Saturday a few pens medium bullocks to £6 12s Od, cows to £5; Store Cattle.--Market still depressed, but we anticipate as the spring sets in buyers will shortly operate, and that the present low state of the inarket will be improved. There is a good demand for milch cows; we sold up to £6. Pigs.-Good de. meand, very few forward. Sheep.-Enquiries are being made for this class of stock, bat: very few to be had. We sold this week' a fleck of store ewes at 6s 6d.. Horses.-. Demand still good for upstanding horses. We sold a few odd lots, £3 to £15. We sell a splendid lot of 60 from.Maneroo on Wed. neaday, vide advertisement.. -SMr E. A. Paterson reports for the week -No improvement to report in fat stock since last week.: Light weight cows from £3 103 to £4.,: Young Stook.-My.eales this week have. been, yearlings, from 17s to 25s per head ;'lI to 2 years old, from 20s t'30 s; heifers, £2 to £2 tOs ; good milkers in active demand, but few were yarded this week; ail, however, sold at satisfactory prices, from £4 12e 6d to £6 2a Od. The horse market brisk for good useful colte or fillies.. Sound serviceable draughts-I'quote from £28 to £35; medium, from £18 to £25; good roadsters, from £12 to. £15. The pig market quiet this week, and only about 30 forward, Mly sales were from 16s to 31e per head. Messrs John' George Dougharty and Co. report having sold on account of Mr W. Montgomery, to Messrs J. and W. C. Bowman, of Chesunt Park, Tasmania, The Ridge Estate, near Rosedale, Gippsland, with cattle, sheep, &c., for £20 15s 3d, on short terms, almost equal.to cash.. .
