CARANDOTTA STATION. BRISBANE, September SO. A well known station property, Carandotta, was offered at auction by the New Zealand Loan and Mercn-tlie Company. No offers were elicited and the property was passed for private treaty. Carandotta is 40 miles from Urandangie, and 70 miles from Dajarra. It was offered under in-structions from Mr. J. Campbell and the trustees of the estate ot the late T. A. Stirton. The area was an-nounced as 575 square miles, of high pebbly downs, well covered with fine quality Mitchell and Flinders grasses. timbered lightly with bloodwood, Gld-yea and Coolibah. Tbe tenure is pastoral development lease, having 80 years to run at 15/- per square mile, the Crown having the right to resume one quarter at the expiration of 20 years. The average rainfall over 40 years Is given at 10 inches per annum. The water includes the Georgina River, with a permanent hole over 20 miles long. Improvements Include a homestead of stone, with telephone connection, woolshed and 14 stands, etc., 60.000 sheep, 300 mixed shorthorn cattle and about 200 horses.
