On the 19th October, at St. John's, Bishopthorpe, Glebe, by the Rev. B. M. Saliniere, G. R. Elliott, Esq., Balmain, to Sazie Gertrude, second daughter of the late James Macna-mara, Esq., British Guiana, West Indies.

On the 23rd October, at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev. C. Creed, Frederick G. S., third son of Mr. Wil-liam Wheeler, of Camperdown, to Martha, third daughter of Mr. John M'Coy, of Swan-street, Sydney.

On the 23rd October, at St. Patrick's, Sydney, by the Rev. J. Mounier, William Knox d'Arcy, of Rockhampton, solicitor, to Elena, only daughter of the late S. B. Birkbeck, of Glen-more, Rockhampton.

DEATHS.

On the 6th October, 1871, Edith Amy, the beloved child of Amanda and Huys Kniffter, at Bath Crewznach, Germany, of tubercles on the brain; and on the 7th June, 1872, her mother, Amanda Deacon, wife of Huys Kniffter, at the same

town, of consumption, leaving a deeply sorrowing husband and only daughter to mourn their heavy loss.

On the 22nd August, at the vicarage, Candover, Salop, the Rev. J. W. Harden, for thirty-six years vicar of the parish.

On the 8th October, at Wairoa, New Zealand, George Anestly, second son of the late Captain M'Donnell, R.N., aged 37.

On the 31st October, at No. 10, Service Crescent, Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Mrs, James Walker, late of Newtown, near Sydney, aged 57 years.

On the 22nd October, suddenly, at Sydney, of hemorrhage of the lungs, Elizabeth Dacam, aged 49, widow of the late Philip Dacam, and only daughter of James and Jane Millar, native of Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, England, leaving five children unprovided tor.

On the 23rd October, at his residence, 212, Castlereagh, street, Joseph Snowden, in the 74th year of his age, surviving his eldest daughter, Mrs. Ann Smith, five months.

On the 25th October, at East St. Leonards, James Milson, sen., in his 88th year.

At Cohen's Hotel, Sydney, on the 25th October, George Cimetière Allman, Esq., of Yass, aged 49.

At Emu Ferry, at her residence, Mrs. Mary Ryan, beloved mother of James T. Ryan, Esq., and one of the oldest Austra-ians, aged 82 years, deeply regretted.
