Port Beat Minor Premiers For Lacrosse Title TDORT met Sturt (minor premiers) in the lacrosse challenge match- at Birkalla this afternoon, and decidedly outclassed them in a fast and vigorous game. They held the lead throughout, final scores being 13 to 6. The Port forwards combined well, and between them scored all 13 goals. Shirt forwards were severely hampered by the vigorous checking methods of the Port l»ack line. Port Adelaide have had au uphill climb from second to bottom at the end of tlie first round to premiers. Their best were Spencer, Plaisted. Wait, Martin, and Kidd, and Kessel, Ridings, and Daniels fought bard for Sturt. Goalthrowers were:— Port— Max Burnley (6), Sutherland (4), Kidd (3). -Sturt— Kinsman (2), Gcpp, Davis. Haddad, and Hill.
