Hearts As Warning
Hearts of dead men, pre-served in jars, are not likely to be used here in any antiheart disease campaign, said a BMA spokesman yesterday.
Our methods of health propa-ganda are different, he said. There is no National Heart Assn, in Australia.
"However, everyone, particularly people working at high pressure, should see a doctor every few years for an overhaul," he warned.
"In the last analysis every dis-ease affects the heart, so every precaution should be taken."
. US report said that 100 success-ful Chicago businessmen were shown the gnarled, clotted, irtf flamed hearts of 7 business execu-tives who had died of heart ail-ments following failure to seek or follow a doctor's advice to slow
down.
Impressed audience immediately donated £6250 for the anti-heart diseases campaign._
A Caltex Oil CAust.) Pty. Ltd. spokesman said yesterday the film "Harvest Gold" would be shown throughout the country shortly.
It was produced under auspices of NSW Dept. of Agriculture.
