Fire minutes after the opening B. Lawrence secured a goal. Hie ball was then transferred to the other end of the field, but was returned, and another goal was secured lor North by A. Sander?. It was quickly followed by another from the stick of H. Watt. Just ' prior to the close of the first quarter JL Kinsman secured a goal for Goodwood after a fast run down the field. Score at quarter time: — North Adelaide, 3, goals; Goodwood, 1 goal. In the second quarter Goodwood failed to score, but North Adelaide secured four coals, which were thrown by G. Beresford (2), B. Lawrence, and E. Sandery, thus mating the score at half-time seven goals to one, a leeway that Goodwood had little hope of making up. The third quarter opened with a. period of give and take play, In which the powerful North backs prevented Goodwood from scoring several times. Then J. Hyde threw a goal for North, and three minutes later J. Kesscll secured another. Goodwood then obtained the ball, and SL Kinsman threw the second goal for Goodwood. H. Watt retaliated with a fine goal for North. The scores at the end of the third quarter were:— North Adelaide, 10 goals; Gpodwood, 2 goals. In the last quarter Goodwood fought hard, and North Adelaide was able to Becure only one goal, which B. Lawrence threw. The final scores were .-—North Adelaide, 11 goals; Goodwood, 2 goals.
