Hartnetts' due here September

Brisbane. — A new 'people's' sedan car, the Hartnett, costing less than £500, would be sold in Aus

tralia next September, said Mr. Percy Danks, 33, machine shop foreman, who helped to produce the first two prototypes of the car. He arrived in Brisbane from England in the Ormonde. The prototypes were made at Grantham, England, and the car would be produced there until plant was available in Australia, he said. . The Hartnett Motor Co. would produce the car in Australia A sedan and a coupe would be made. It was difficult to estimate costs at present, but it was believed the sedan would not cost more than £430, and with sales tax added would sell at less than £500. The car would probably be mass produced at Geelong (Vic.) when plant was obtained, he said.
