The barque Lincluden is originally from Mauritius, and called in at Adelaide for orders. She brings a full

cargo of sugar.

The ship Empire of Peace left Liverpool on the 28th December, and had a teriffic gale in the Channel. She has also experienced head and baffling winds during the entire passage. Captain Calvert reports the death of his surgeon, Mr. George Ross Flint, of Tain, Ross-shire, on the 20th March, in lat. 37.40 S., long. 38 E., of consumption.

The Gipsy Bride left Liverpool on the night of the 9th February ; had a very heavy westerly gale in the Channel, which lasted four days. On the 13th rounded the Smalls, and, with moderate breezes and casual N.E. trades, crossed the Equator on the twenty-second day out. Through the S.E. trades had mode-rate and fair winds. In lat. 30deg. S. and lon. 18deg. W. lost maintopmast, with yards and gear. Passed the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on the 29th March ; had strong breezes to Cape Otway, which was sighted on the 23rd ult. A S.E. gale then sprang up, which carried her down to Curtis Inlet. Since then had bafflling weather, with wind from east-ward, and observed a strong westerly current running in shore. She has thus made the pas-sage to Cape Otway in 72 days, which is the quickest of the season. She brings 100 passengers, all in good health. Captain Murphy and Dr. Lever have been presented with testimonials from all classes of pas-sengers.
