Murgoo Sheep Station.

Sir— In the Sunday Times of 9/9/28 is an account of Atkins Brothers' now celebrated Murgoo sheep station, which has some South Australian interest, for Messrs. Atkins are South Australians.

More than 40 years have elapsed since I used to do business with Mr. E. C. Atkins, sen., who still lives, and is nearly 80, then the landlord of the British Standard Hotel, Alberton, and whom I have known ever since. A keen business man and » bold, far-seeing speculator, Mr. Atkins amassed a large fortune, and has widely diffused interests. Success has not spoiled him, and he is just the same man as he was when I knew and traded with him in 1884.-I am, Sir, &c. A. T. SAUNDERS.
