NEW MOTOR SHIP.

For West Coast Service.

The 'Adelaide Steamship Company's new motor ship Yandra, which' arrived at th» Semaphore anchorage from' London late , on Tuesday afternoon, is now berthed at

Commercial Wharf, Port Adelaide. She left England on September 8, and the only' ports 'at which the vessel called were Perim and Port Said. Capt. H. J.' Chapman, who is well known - on the Queensland coast, where he traded under the- flag of the Adelaide steamship Company, 'was in charge. Fair weather was encountered on the way out, and the vessel averaged 10 knots. The engines behaved splendidly. : '?' ?',?.. The Yandra is a trim/ craft, and has pleasing lines. She 'is admirably suited, for coastal trade, and will ruu in the west coast service. The vessel is 210 ft. long, and has a breadth nf 35 ft. She is 1,000 tons deadweight. Built M Copenhagen by Burmiester & Wain, the'Yundra is equipped witb trunk type ongir.es supplied by that company.- 'Splendid accommodation is provided for the ship's company. ' . Officers who served, on tb]e. motor ship on the voyage out are:— Capt. H. J. Chapman, Messrs. M. Smith (chief officer), Morgan tsecond), Walker ' (third), W. C. Hamilton (chief engineer), W. C.
