As a result of their overwhelming defeat of West Torrens 40 — 0 — the most decisive A grade defeat for many years — East Torrens today regained the lacrosse minor premiership from Port Adelaide.

By losing to North Adelaide, Sturt were deprived of third place on the premiership table. Brighton moved up to third position by narrowly defeating University. Next Saturday East Torrens will play Brighton and Port Adelaide will meet Sturt in the senior semi-finals. With the end of the minor rounds, East Torrens, Port Adelaide, and Brighton have proved the strongest clubs for the season, finishing in the top four in all grades. Goal disallowed In a fast, even game, University were first to score against Brighton, and led 3—1 at the first change. Wade and Hamilton evened for Brighton before half-time. On resumption a goal from Ward (University) was disallowed because another University player was in the goal crease. In the final quarter Edwards goaled twice for Brighton. JEast Torrens forwards had a field day against West Torrens. Nolan (14), Gorman (11), and Matthewman (9) were largely responsible for East Torrens' minor premiership. jMartin (Port Adelaide) and folan jointly recorded' the
