Death of Mrs. R. F. Mortlock

The death occurred today of Mrs. Rosye Forsyth Mortlock, widow of the late William Tennant Mortlock, of Mar-tindale Hall, Mintaro.

Mrs. Mortlock was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Andrew Tennant, of Es-senside, Glenelg, and was born at Port Lincoln. She was a strong supporter of charitable causes, the Country Women's Association, and of the Angli-can Church at Mintaro and Tumby Bay. The sole surviving member of the family is Mr. John T. Mortlock, also of Mintaro. Her brother, Mr. John Ten-nant, lives at Kooringa, and she has two sisters, Mrs. R. M. Hawker, and Mrs. W. Anstruther Gray, in England. With her son, Mrs. Mortlock estab-lished the Ranson Mortlock Memorial Research Trust at the Waite Agricul-tural Research Institute for the study of soil erosion and regeneration of pas-tures in outlying areas. The funeral will be held at the North Road Cemetery tomorrow (Sun-day) afternoon.
