Lacrosse lead to E. Torrens

Lacrosse surprise today was the comfortable defeat of Brighton by Glenelg. East Torrens now become minor premiers.

Gitsham broke through to net

the only goal of the first quarter, and Haydon (Brighton) evened just before half-time, Glenelg won the game in the third quarter, when Gitsham (2), and Robinson goaled, while Brighton failed to score. In the final quarter, goals from Offler and Robinson put the issue beyond doubt.Edwards Edwards goaled on the bell for Brighton, and thus gained first position on the goalthrowing list, with a total of 90 goals. Ron Matthewman (East Torrens) was a goal behind, with 89. East Torrens overwhelmed West Torrens. At half-time the 17-year-old State and West Torrens attack. Nottage, was presented with the Scroop Cup, a trophy donated for the fairest and best player of the club for the season. Port Adelaide defeated University, but did not display

sufficiently good form to give them a chance in the semifinal. East Torrens were also minor premiers in B Grade, and Brighton gained that position in C Grade.
