Bunyip Hunters at Gundagai Gundagai residents

may form parties today to hunt a strange creature— some say it is a bunyip seen in a lagoon about

seven miles from the town. Gundagai is between 250 and 300 miles from Sydney. Bets are being laid in Guodagai that the creature is:— 1. A seal escaped from a travelling circus. 2. An amphibious sheep. 3. A musk duck. Old-timers say a musk duck is an almost extinct bird 'that is said to have bellowed like a bull and spouted water like a whale.' How to identify a bunyip - p.3.
