Patricia returns

I ONDON, Sot. : Patricia Roc is returning to the British screen after spending

two years in Pans with husband Andre Thomas, one of Frances' leading cameramen. Patricia made several films in France. She has been cast in a top role for 'Something Money Can't Buy,' to be made at Pinewood. A MERICAN stage actor and producer Sam Wanamaker has a leading role in 'Mr. Denning Drives North,' starring John Mills and Phyllis Calvert. He hadn't been in England since 1949, when he played in the controversial film 'Give Us This Day,' but on holiday in France wrote to his London agent to see if any roles were offering. He was immediately given the part of a lawyer in Anthony Kimmins' production.JNDIAN JNDIAN dancer Ram Gopal plays a rubber plantation supervisor in 'White Blood,' starring Claudette Colbert, Anthony Steele, and Jack Hawkins. tpHE RAF granted special ?*? permission for the 'Angels One Five' unit to film scenes in the topsecret 11 Group Operations Room, 100 ft. underground at Uxbridge (Middlesex). This ops room guided Britain's fighters all over Southern England during the Battle of Britain. JJOLLYWOOD writer ?*?*? Harry Kurnitz is in London to work on a new film for Sir Michael Balcon at Ealing. Kurnitz, who wrote most of the 'Thin Man' scripts, has been assigned to 'Love Lottery,' the story of a movie star who puts himself up for auction. Producer and director respectively are Manja Danischewsky and Alexander Mackendrick, the 'Whisky Galore' team.
