ROYAL DIVORCE.

PRINCE PHILIP AND PRINCESS LOUISE. London. January 16.

The marriage of Prince Philip of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and Princess Louise, eldest daughter of King Leopold of Belgium, has been dissolved. The question of the

culpability of either party was not raised in the Divorce Court. The Princess will receive from her late husband a lump sum of 400,000 guilden, and a monthly allowance of 7,000 guilden, besides a yearly al-lowance from her father of £2,000. The couple were married in 1875, and for several years the Princess was virtually kept a prisoner on the ground that she had been guilty of misconduct. Recently, with the aid ot a gentleman friend, she escaped from confinement.
