SMOKE SOCIAL. .

A well-attended smoke social in connection -with the North Adelaide Cycling and Automobile Clubs was held at tbe ciubnvmiD nn AfnnHnv ovenintr. Mr. J. Pan

nicker presided. The Uhainnan, alter referring to the good relations which existed between the two clubs, proposed tbe loval toast. iMr. T. P. O'Grady submitted 'the North Adelaide Club,' to which Sir. J. Hammer responded; and- Mr. F. S. Toma proposed 'The Automobile Club,'' which was acknowledged by the secretary (Mr. R. ?J. Hancock). The toasts were interspersed with vocal and instrumental items, as follow.— Overture, Mr. \V. Thomas; banjo trio. Messrs. W. Sinnett, J. Bullock, and H. Bickford; cornet duet, Messrs. A. Taplin and D. W. Hendrickson; humorous recitals, Mr. M. Ralph; quartet, Messrs. H. Prime, H. Farrell, and V. G. and F. M. Lyons; songs, Messrs. C. James, H. Prime, A. James, and J. Swanson. Messrs. \V. Thomas and A. and C. James played the accompaniments. The certificates won in the Automobile Club's hillelimbing contest

in December and the certificates, ribbons, and badges won in the Easter reliability trials were presented to the successful competitors, aa follow:— Drs. O. Reissmann, H. Carr, and P.
