FARINA, Monday.— The drought has definitely broken here, and the seasonal prospects are bright. Following on the December rains, the present falls assure an ex

cellent season. Herbage is showing strong growth. Latest total readings: — Farina, 175; Myrtle Springs, 610; Wilpoorina, 142; Witchelina, 380; Marree, 104; Mundowdna 267 (best rain for 20 years); Lyndhurst Sid ing, 150; Mount Lyndhurst, 85; Murnpeowie, 129.All All creeks are running strongly, and dams, are full. Washaways north and south of Farina have caused the cancellation of trains for a few days. The weather is now clear. The Farina to Cordillo Downs mail was hopelessly bogged at Knob Well (107 points). It is impossible to go on, as tho roads will be impassable for a week or more.
