DEATH OF MR. R. H. CRAWFORD

Mr. Robert H. Crawford, widely known Adelaide merchant, and former presi-dent of the Royal Agricultural and Horticul-tural Society, died at the Memorial Hospital

on Saturday, aged 77. Mr. Crawford''s father' was proprietor of the business of Messrs. Flett and Linklater, and later Crawford & Co. purchased the busi-ness of Finlayson & Co. at Adelaide and Mount Lofty, and removed to the premises now occupied in King William street. Mr. Crawford was the last member of the original horse committee of the Royal Agri-cultural and Horticultural Society. For 30 years he was a member of the committee of the Adelaide Hunt Club, and in his younger days was an enthusiastic follower of the hounds. Mr. Crawford was ill for some time. He has left a widow, one son, and five daughters. 'No man was more. highly respected and. universally loved than Mr. R. H. Crawford' said Mr. H. J. Finnis, secretary of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society yesterday.
