"KINGSLAND"

NEW NAME FOR THE NORTHERN

TERRITORY.

Melbourne. April 21. 1913

The question of a new name for tbe Northern Territory is understood to have been discussed when the Administrator was last in Melbourne. The proposal is to call tbe Territory Kingsland, It seems that Dr. Gilruth has written to the High Commissioner suggesting that if the King should come to Australia he should travel by way of Darwin and calling there, give to the Territory the name that has been proposed.
