Opperman Has Fight With Tierer Snake ?

witu a snake, nuDert upperman reaenca Albury- at 8.10 p.m. (Melbourne time)— a daeh of 371 mires in 24 hours. A crowd of about 5,000 welcomed him, and he was given a civic welcome. A line of cars, a mile long followed him into the city. Opperman remained only 20 minutes. Ho was about five hours inside his schedule. Barring accidents he should reach Melbourne tomorrow morning. When the official car was leaving Gundagai a tiger snake became entangled in the wheel. Opperman' jumped off his bicycle and beat the snake off with a sapling.
