L.S.T. Cattle Shipment: Loading Starts Manila-bound cattle from Anna Plains station are now being loaded on the Ninety Mile Beach into the landingcraft Wan Kuo. It is the first shipment of its kind from Western Australia. From a muster of about 1,200 bullocks, 800 have been selected during the week. They are being penned on board in batches of 15 and it is expected that loading will be -completed tomorrow. The Wan Kuo is expected to leave the beach at Anna Plains no later than Monday to pick up the last of her fodder requirements, about ten tons to be left by the Dorrigo at Broome. She may also take freshly cut bundles of the lush feed on which the cattle have been fattening on the station. The landing craft is taking enough fodder to feed the animals in Manila until they are sold.
