0. Lovelock Wins Golf At Yokine Ossie Lovelock, the former State wicketkeeper, beat Des Grantham by two points yesterday to win the stableford event at Mt. Yokine, with 35 points. At Mt. Lawley, where rain was welcomed on this year's State championship course, four players finished three down in the bogey event. They were J. V. Brownfield, R. A. Ventris, J. P. Simpson and A. J. Talbot. T. Lawrance played good golf at the windy Sea View links yesterday to win the stroke competition with 84-14-70. Stableford Event Charlie Crowe lowered his handicap by two strokes when he won the stableford event at Royal Fremantle with a good 38-two points ahead of Jeff Branson and Ted Watt. At Lake Karrinyup on Saturday three tied with 37 points for the stableford trophy. A coin was tossed and Sid Good won from Dixie Clement and S. G. Taylor. A big return of 48 points won the fourball stableford at Royal Perth on Saturday for Trevor Roberts and Keith Sweetapple.
