N. CLARKE JOINS NTH. L'TON HIGH- FLYING 18-yearold Campbell Town carpenter, Noel Clarke, signed with North Launceston after training at York Park last night. Clarke, who had been sought by Longford, City and Launceston clubs, captained Tech. to northern premiership honours last season, but the side lost the junior state title to Buckingham at Hobart. Clarke accepted an invitation to play with North against Collingwood at the end of the season, and his spectacular high-marking and brilliant left-foot kicking greatly impressed the mainlanders. Officials of that club claimed Clarke was the most promising forward they had seen in years. Standing 5ft. 11in., Clarke is a rangy type. He appeared in good condition when he ran last night. - I
