The death occurred yesterday of the Right Hon. Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Fleet-

wood Isham Edwards. G.C.V.O., K.C.B

who was Sergeant-at-Arms in the House of Lords, and Extra Equerry to the King. Sir Fleetwood had filled many either important poets.

Sir Fleetwood Edwards was in his 67th year. Amongst the offices he had held were those of Private S^cvxjuy and A.D.C to the Governor of Bermuda 11867-9), Aftertant Interjector of Works at the Royal Arsenal (1870-51, A.D.C. to the InspectorGeneral of Fortifications (1875-8), attached to Special Embassy at the Congress of Berlin (1878), Assistant Keeper of the Privy Purse, and Assistant Private Secretary to Queen Victoria (1878-95), Groomin Waiting 1889-90, Extra Equerry (IRS8-ÜXV1),- Royal Commissioner for the Exhibition of 1851, and other posts.
