The English War Office announces that in view of the increasing size of the A.T.S. the Secretary of State has decided to strengthen the administration by the appointment of an Inspector of the A.T.S. Attractive 30-year-old, Senior Commandant Jean Knox, whose husband is a squadron leader, has been appointed to the key post of inspector. Since she joined the A.T.S. in 1938 she has gone through every stage from kitchen duties to the finer points of administration. Her rank is equivalent to that of a colonel. The photo shows Senior Commandant Jean Knox at her office.
