(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.)

QUEENSLAND.

BUNDABERG, February 10.

WHILE the s. Lady Bowen remained at this port on Thursday night, a deputation waited upon the Premier to represent local wants, and especially the necessity for constructiug the railway to Mount Perry.

In reply to the deputation, Mr. Thorn said that the Bundaberg and Mount Perry line was the weakest of the bunch, and the least thought of by members on both sides of the House. By itself it would not stand the slightest chance of being carried.

With regard to the railway policy of the Government for the forthcoming session, Mr. Thorn said it would be similar to that of the last, with a few additions.

BEISBANE, February 10.
