LAWN TENNIS. Cochet Beats Sidwell. PARIS, July 16.-H. Cochet beat the Australian, Sidwell, 6-3, 6-2 in an Anglo-French two-day lawn tennis exhibition series in which all the British stars were beaten. The American, Major Frank Guernsey, playing for the British team, was the only player to win a singles event for Britain, beating the Davis Cup player, Bernard Destreman, 6-2, 6-0. All the contests were two sets.
