WINTER WOOLLENS

. SPECIAL INTEREST, apart from its fashion significance, attaches to this page. In designing it, Petrov used actual pieces of fabrics. First he sketched the designs, then pasted the fabrics on to his sketched outlines. The page was then photographed direct in

natural colors from the original and reproduced by our special fourcolour Artgravure process. No other Australian newspaper has attempted

this type of fashion page. The re-sults give a perfectly true render-ing of the fabrics in their actual

colors.

. THE MATERIALS used tncludt a fancy plaid check suiting, tin coloring of which shows the Coro nation influence, a new Angora with a raised self check, and a knub tweed coating. In the background are a fleck Kemp tweed used for tin trees and slub frieze suiting for tin

ground effect.
