WOOL APPRAISEMENT.! TWELFTH FIXTURE. Total of .17.932 Bales. The 12th wool appraisement of the 1945-46 season and the 119th, held under the Imperial Wool Purchase Scheme was completed last Thursday. Brokers' catalogues totalled 17,932 bales.. The Midland and agricultural districts supplied about 15,600 bales (Great Southern and South-West 5,900 bales), Kimberley North-West and Gascoyne 1,500 bales and Murchison and Easternl' Goldfields 800 bales. The Associated Brokers (Dalgety and Co., Elder, Smith and Co, Goldsbrough, Mort and Co., and The Westralian Farmers) reported yesterday that on the whole the offering was a good one, there being some rather attractive lots offered, but that some of the clips carried a fair amount of condition, and there was also some tender wool in evidence, due to the difficult growing period. There was a smaller quantity of wool from the pastoral areas, especially the North-West. The Murchison contribution consisted mostly of lateshorn wools. Following are the principal prices (top lots only) for greasy Merino fleece, unless otherwise stated, figures in parentheses indieating the number of bales: Great Scuter and sout-west (9acad. and over): 24d46. for three bales account A.
