Pioneer

Perth: Pioneer West Aus-tralian cattleman Isidore Samuel Emanuel, who died at Park Lane, Mayfair, Lon-don, on January 5, aged 94, left estate in West Austra- lia valued at £290,897. His English estate was £430,666 sterling.

Duty paid on this West Australian estate was £58,179 and on his English estate £280,240 sterling.

Beneficiaries under his will are his widow and his three sons.

Mr. Emanuel and his brother Sydney were sent to the West Kimberleys in the early 80's by their father and established Meda, Lower Liv-eringa, Noonkanbah and Gogo Stations.

Soon they had chartered ships and were supplying Perth with meat. Then, after the gold rush, they were joined by explorer Alexander Forrest, brother of Lord For-rest, and formed Forrest, Emanuel & Co,
