North Perth Excludes Bowling Find Although Terry Dyson made an excellent debut in first-grade cricket last week, he has been dropped from North Perth's team to meet West Perth tomorrow. Bob Evans, who had to stand down from the last match because of a leg injury, will return to share the opening attack with Hubert Bevan. Ray Stockmin, the North Perth captain, said yesterday that the selectors had preferred Evans because he was more effective than Dyson when bowling into the wind. Dyson took all his wickets last week when bowling with the help of the breeze and was not so effective when tried at the other end. Brian Falconer, the West Perth footballer and a former champion schoolboy cricketer, will make his first appearance for the season with North Perth tomorrow. Falconer, a left-hand batsman, replaces G. Connor, who has had a disheartening run of bad luck with the bat this season. Stockmin said that Falconer had been introduced to the side to stiffen the batting order. "I think we have the necessary bowlers, but we cannot afford to take chances with the batting for this match," he said. Asked whether he felt that North Perth would beat West Perth, Stockmin said: "We can never feel confident; we can only live in hope."
