AFGHAN DIES

AT 105

The funeral took place this morning of Mr. Sultan Aziz, one of the most colorful Afghans in the district. He was 105.

Mr. Aziz has been a well-known identity around Broken Hill for the last 40 years. Once a camel

teamster, he came to Australia more than 65 years ago.

The cortege left the Mohom-medan Mosque, North Broken Hill, at 11 a.m. for the Mohommedan Cemetery.

Representatives included Mr. A. Slater of the Newmarket Sporting Club. Bearers were: Messrs. E. Khan, R. Zada, J. Bejah, H. Shirdell, A, Fazulla, A. Hassen. Fred J. Potter and Son had charge of the funeral.
