Producer John Stafford and director Ken ~ Annakin are searching for a Malayan giri about seventeen to pïay a lead-ing part in Claudette Colbert's new film "The Planter's Wife."

The part is that of Arminah, a beautiful young girl who lives on the plantation owneci in the film by Miss Colbert and her screen husband, Jack Hawkins. Most of the scenes in which the girl appears will bs with Ram Gopal, the Indian dancer, who has his first straight role as the overseer of the rubber plantation. Talent scouts are now busy in Malaya looking for a suitable starlet.Anthony Steel, who scored a big hit in the Royal Command téchnicolor film "Where No Vultures Fly" plays the juven-ile lead in "The Planter's Wife." ..
