Football League Gives £500 To P.O.W. Fund

At the reception by the Lord Mayor (Mr. Walker) yesterday to the RAAF football team which has come from Victoria to play

Norwood-North, the SA premiers. today, the vice-president of the SA National Football League (Mr. S. H. Lewis) announced that the League out of its accumulated funds, would give £500 to the Red Cross Prisoners' of War Fund, to which the proceeds of today's match would be devoted. Mr. Walker welcomed the visiting team. Mr. Lewis said that the league appreciated1 tlie action ol the BAAF team in coming to Adelaide. The captain of Norwood-North (A. G. Sawley) -also spoke.
