Death Of Mr. Godfrey Cripps

Mr. Godfrey Cripps, of Simpson road, Wattle Park, who died in Adelaide on Tuesday, aged 77. was born in England and was a cou-

sin of the British Minister for Aircraft Production (Sir Stafford Cripps) Before coming to Aus-tralia 30 years ago. He lived in South Africa for many years, and at one time was deputy sheriff in Cape Colony. As a member of a South African cricket team he toured England and was captain of the side in one of the Test matches. He spent some years in Queensland before coming to Adelaide, where he became a master at St. Peter's College. He retired about ten years ago and engaged in private tutoring.
