COLLEGIATE SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, NORWOOD. ;

The annual distribution of prizes in connection with tbe Collegiate School fpr Girls, conducted by tbe Misses Willows, took place in the Norwood Institute on Wednesday, and

the attendance cf vieitora and friends oi. the pupils was very large. Mr. J. Hall presided. On tho walla were displayed examples of the work of tho pupils. Tho drawings, maps, and Ejiecimens of penmanship wero remarkably good, and the other work of the young ladies was equally creditable, testifying eloquently to the caro bestowed upon their education. The Kev. Mr. Swan distributed the prize?, and congratulated tho Principals upon the success of tbo institution. An enjoyable programme of vocal and instrumental music and recitations was spiritedly canied out by tho young ladies of the College, Miss M. Snelling playtd tho overture, and the kindergarten ilass Rave a pretty little recitation, followed by a song 'To the Woods,' nicely sung by Miss E. M. Goode. The Misses M. Hall and M. Saundera gave a dramatic dialogue with pleasing effect, and tho Mieses L. Cotton, M. King, and N. Edwards played a pleasing piece on the pianoforte. A recitation, 'Wooden Legs,' by tho kindergarten class, caused rcuch diversion ; and this was followed by a skilfully played instrumental duet by the Misses E. and E. M. Goode. MisE E. M. Goode showed her knowledge of German by reciting 'A Visit from Santa Claus.' The bright, pretty cantala 'Queen of the Seasons,' written and composed by W. S. Rcddie for junior Echook, was charmingly rendered by the singing class, under the direction of Mr. T. W. Lyons, the singing master of the school.
