.Scenes at the mustering of between 2000 . and 30001 cattle on Naryilco Station, .about '100 miles, north pf Tibooburra, to be . used in ,the film "Sheepmates," adapted from William Hatfield's hovel of the same name, arc to be taken-.by members of the Efftee Company ;who ? arrived from Mel-bourne ."yesterday'and are staying at the Freemasons Hotel till they leave to-morrow. : .

The party is headed by Mr. P. W. Thring, the director, and Mr. Hatfield. It-includes cameramen and assistants and three specially selected rough riders .who will appear in the film.

AUTHOR CHOSE NARYILCO

. "Naryilco Station was' selected," said Mr. Thring, "as it was scenes about there that Mr. Hatfield chose for his story, while it is also the only place where . at ' the moment we are able' to find two or three thousand head of cattle being mu.-tered.

"Mr. Hatfield made a special visit here recently, and was informed that there would be a mustering of the cattle in the .first week in October..

Tho picture will take abouf three months to complete on returning -tu Melbourne, and it will be rolcnsod within a month or .six weeks of its completion.

Tlie party will leave to-morrow, î.nd they will return to Melbourne througii Broken Hill.

. Mr." Thring, on the return trip, will i probably film some scenes typical of

the mining, industry to be usen in u travelogue, or be placed in the library for use at atmospheric shots embrac-ing mining episodes.

Mr. Thring was here 25 years ago and worked on the mines. Apart from his : association with the . mines he appeared on the stage as a con-juror when Mr. George Pagdon was a popular comedian .' with local audiences. '?
