BULGARIANS ATTACK ON

GREEK OUTPOST.

INDEMNITY AND APOLOGY

DEMANDED.

Athens, Thursday.

In consequence of Bulgarian troops shooting dead a Greek sentry and a, captain on the frontier,

Greece has issued an ultimatum to Bulgaria giving her 48 hours in which to apologise and to pay au indemnity of 2,000,000 French francs and also 'the punishment of the offi-cials responsible. After attacking the Greek outpost and shooting the two men, the Bulgarians hoisted the white flag. They explained that the firing was due to a misunderstand-

ing.

Greece is determined to throw full light , on the incident and has ordered the Greek forces to advance into Bulgaria and occupy the town of Petrich, with the object of en-forcing her demands for satisfaction.

The Bulgarian Government has proposed that a mixed commission be formed to Investigate the incident on the spot.
