SITE FOR NEW HOSPITAL The corner of Pilgrim and For-tune streets, South Perth, would be the location of the proposed South Perth Community Hospital, subject to the approval of the Governor-in-Council (Sir James Mitchell), said Mr. W. C. G. Thomas, a member of the South Perth Road Board, at a board meeting last night The cost of the hospital, about £10,000, was being sought by donations from South Perth residents, he said. A scheme of weekly contribu-tions of 1/ or more from the 4,500 householders of the district had begun, Mr. Thomas added. About 80 to 100 voluntary col-lectors were helping in the scheme. Almost £3,500 had already been collected and paid into the hospital trust fund. It was hoped that by Christmas £5,000 would have been raised.
